The NVIDIA/Mellanox MFS1S50-H015V is an active QSFP56 200Gb/s to 2x100Gb/s QSFP56 InfiniBand HDR optical splitter cable. Using the Quad Small Form Factor Pluggable 56 (QSFP56), it contains four high-speed copper electrical pairs, each operating at speeds of up to 50Gb/s. This cable complies with QSFP56 MSA (Multi-Source Agreement) and IEEE 802.3 standards.
AOCs enable higher port bandwidth, increased density and configurability at low cost, while reducing power consumption in data centers, used widely in cloud and supercomputers. Additionally, AOCs are widely used to connect NVIDIA GPU-based systems to InfiniBand networks and InfiniBand storage infrastructures.
AOC cables provide a cost-effective, reliable, and high-value solution to plug-in transceivers. They are lighter, more flexible, allow better airflow and support longer distances compared to DAC cables.
