800G OSFP Finned Top Ethernet Passive DAC Breakout Cable to 2 x 400G OSFP Flat Top (Passive, OSFP to 2x OSFP, 26AWG) The Arista/Cisco/NVIDIA(ETH)/Juniper/Generic compatible cable is a dual passive copper direct breakout cable 800Gb/s dual port OSFP to 2 x 400Gb/s dual port OSFP for 400Gb/s Ethernet solutions. · It complies with OSFP MSA (Multi-Source Agreement) and IEEE 802.3ck standards.
Each end includes an EEPROM that provides product identification and characteristics to the host system.
The 8-channel dual-port OSFP end uses a Finned Top format for use in air-cooled Ethernet switches, while the dual 400G ends support 4 channels of 100G-PAM4 (400G) and use a Flat Top OSFP for use in Ethernet adapters with heat sinks on the connector cage.
The primary use of the cable is to connect an 800G switch to OSFP based 400G network adapter cards.
Featuring low latency, low power consumption and cost-effective performance, this cable enables 800G to dual 400G breakout connections for server-to-TOR links in AI/ML training clusters, hyperscale cloud data centers and high-performance computing environments.
