The NVIDIA/Mellanox MMA1Z00-NS400 Compatible InfiniBand NDR QSFP112 Optical Transceiver is a single-port, parallel multi-mode SR4 400Gb/s QSFP112 QSFP112 module using a 4-channel MPO-12/APC optical connector. The SR4 (Short Reach 4-channel) design uses 100G-PAM4 modulation and provides a maximum reach of 50 meters with OM4 multimode fibers. Used in ConnectX-7/QSFP112 adapters connected to Twin-port transceivers on IB 2x400G switches. When connected to a 1:2 splitter fiber optic cable, only 2 lanes are active at the split end and only 2 channels of the 400G transceiver will be activated, automatically producing 200G speeds and reducing power consumption.
It is an ideal solution for high-performance computing and is suitable for end-to-end InfiniBand NDR systems, integrating seamlessly with computing and storage infrastructure to ensure efficient and effective interconnection.
