The NVIDIA/Mellanox MCP4Y10-N00A-FLT Ethernet Cable is a dual-port 2x400Gb/s OSFP to dual-port 2x400Gb/s OSFP direct attach copper cable. It uses the Octal Small Form Factor (OSFP) socket and contains eight high-speed electrical copper pairs, each operating at data rates of up to 100 Gb/s. This cable complies with OSFP MSA (Multi-Source Agreement), IEEE 802.3ck and CMIS Rev5.0 standards. DACs offer the lowest latency, so they are widely used in data centers to connect servers and GPU computing systems to another server. DAC cables are also used to create InfiniBand storage structures with hard disk drive (HDD) and flash memory subsystems. With a simple design and minimal components, DAC cables provide the lowest-cost, lowest-latency, near-zero power connections for high-speed links.
