1Welke patchkabel voor mijn Orange-, SFR- of Bouygues-router?
Voor de routers van Orange (Livebox 4/5/6), SFR (Box 8) en Bouygues (Bbox Ultym) gebruiken zowel het wandgemonteerde optische aansluitpunt (PTO) als de routerinterface een SC/APC-connector (groene 8°-afschuining). Kies een SC/APC–SC/APC simplex OS2-patchkabel. Voor een standaardappartement of -huis volstaat een lengte van 2 tot 5 m. In omgevingen met mechanisch risico (onder deuren, metalen kabelgoot) is de stalen gepantserde versie aan te bevelen.
2Welke patchkabel voor mijn Freebox?
De Freebox-modellen (Revolution, Delta, Ultra, Player) gebruiken een SC/UPC-connector (blauw, plat vlak) aan de routerzijde en SC/APC aan de wandgemonteerde PTO-zijde. Kies een SC/APC–SC/UPC simplex-patchkabel. Gebruik geen SC/APC–SC/APC-patchkabel op een Freebox: de APC/UPC-mismatch genereert extra insertieverlies en kan de verbinding verslechteren. De stalen gepantserde versie is aanbevolen wanneer de patchkabel een doorgangszone moet kruisen.
3Wat is het verschil tussen simplex en duplex?
Een simplex-patchkabel bevat één enkele vezel — het signaal gaat slechts in één richting, of in beide richtingen op verschillende golflengten (BiDi/WDM-technologie, GPON-standaard). Het is de standaard voor residentiële FTTH-installaties. Een duplex-patchkabel bevat twee vezels naast elkaar — één vezel per richting, gelijktijdige bidirectionele transmissie. De standaard voor Ethernet-verbindingen op SFP+-switches in datacenter- en enterprise-omgevingen.
4SC/APC of SC/UPC — hoe herken je het verschil?
Aan de kleur van de connector: groen = SC/APC (8°-afschuining, retourverlies ≥ 65 dB); blauw = SC/UPC (plat vlak, retourverlies ≥ 50 dB). De residentiële PTO in Frankrijk gebruikt systematisch SC/APC (groen). Actieve apparatuur (converters, oudere routers) gebruikt soms SC/UPC (blauw). Een SC/APC op een SC/UPC aansluiten genereert een extra verlies van 3 tot 5 dB — controleer altijd de compatibiliteit vóór installatie.
5Kan een bestaande glasvezelpatchkabel verlengd worden?
Ja, met een adapterkoppeling (verbindingsmof) van hetzelfde connectortype: SC/APC–SC/APC om twee SC/APC-patchkabels te verbinden, bijvoorbeeld. Elke koppeling voegt ongeveer 0,5 dB extra insertieverlies toe. Bij lange verbindingen met meerdere koppelingen moet gecontroleerd worden of het totale optische budget binnen de limieten van uw apparatuur blijft. Zie de Elfcam-koppelingen →.
6Welke patchkabellengte kiezen?
Meet de werkelijke afstand tussen de PTO en uw router langs het kabeltraject (plinten, sierlijsten, deurdoorgang) en voeg 10 tot 15 % marge toe. Vermijd overtollige patchkabel: een grote kabellus achter een meubel kan bochten onder de minimumradius veroorzaken en de verliezen verhogen. Gebruikelijke lengtes: 1 m (PTO en router in dezelfde kamer), 2–3 m (aangrenzende kamer), 5–10 m (twee gescheiden kamers).
7Zijn de Elfcam-patchkabels compatibel met alle operators?
Ja. De Elfcam-patchkabels voldoen aan de norm IEC 61755-2-1 en zijn afgestemd op de Franse FTTH-standaard (SC/APC, OS2 G.657A2). Ze zijn compatibel met Orange, SFR, Bouygues, Free, evenals met de alternatieve providers (Coriolis, Prixtel, NordNet enz.) die dezelfde PTO's gebruiken. De optische parameters (insertieverlies ≤ 0,3 dB, retourverlies ≥ 65 dB APC) worden per batch in de fabriek geverifieerd. Gecertificeerd CE, RoHS en REACH.
8Wat zijn de levertijden voor de Elfcam-patchkabels?
Alle patchkabels op deze pagina zijn op voorraad in Frankrijk met verzending binnen 24 werkuren. Bestellingen die vóór 14:00 uur worden geplaatst, worden dezelfde dag verzonden via Colissimo of Chronopost afhankelijk van de gekozen optie. Voor FTTH-projecten met grote hoeveelheden (sets patchkabels, distributiekabels) zijn op aanvraag staffelkortingen en geplande leveringen beschikbaar.
